Haimant Ishan's Projects

ASU SIMS/NANOSIMS LAB

  • Conducted in-depth research using supernova models to analyze the compositions of isotopically anomalous stardust grains.
  • Studied the chemical and isotopic compositions of stardust in meteorites, linking them to their origins in red giant and asymptotic giant branch stars, as well as supernova and nova explosions.

ASU PHOTOEMISSION AND BRIGHT BEAMS LAB

Created and executed MATLAB programming to enable precise calculations related to the 3-D energy-momentum analyzer's functionality

Semester Project

Analyzed 15 stars equivalent to one solar mass across a range of metallicities (Z = 0.1 to 1.5) to study habitable zone characteristics.

SENIOR EXPLORATION PROJECT

Developing a self-sustaining, closed pod system to simulate plant growth in microgravity environments.

NASA L'SPACE PROGRAM

  • Focused on proposal writing and evaluation for NASA missions
  • Collaborated on mission-related team projects.

Hubble Constant Study

  • Conducted a project based on the study "A 3% Solution: Determination of the Hubble Constant With the Hubble Space Telescope and Wide Field Camera 3."
  • Focused on replicating the original study's results to determine the Hubble constant, utilizing the same methodologies.
